“Prague: an Island of Light”
Altair-TV, Cultural association “New Acropolis”, 2005

In 1577 the sky in Europe was illuminated by a comet with a dark red reflection in its tail-signal that the crucial moment, the distempered times come. Everyone waited for the world to disappear in fire. Times between 16th and 17th century A.D. turned up to be a tough and contradictory period in European history. Typical signs of that time are dissident in the church, intestine and religious wars, inquisition, sentences and persecutions. Internal perplexity and loneliness of man give rise to superstitions and fears. Everything predicts coming changes. A man himself is searching for new ideals. Enlightened minds of Europe are agitated by activity of secret societies. Alchemists and Rosicrucians, trended toward reformations of science, philosophy and ethics. In its turbulent elements, as it always used to be, reappeared the islands, centres that carry advanced concepts which provide men the points of rest in this unstable world.
